About Us
Hi Moms,
I'm Dayvia, the owner of The Nip Chips. I'm a wife, mom of 3 beautiful girls and an RN. Prior to The Nip Chips, I worked as a pediatric RN in an urgent care facility and a sourdough cottage baker. I have always found my place around mothers and children, in and out of the workplace.
I had my first amazing daughter, Maddison in 2017 where I, like many others struggled with postpartum blues and breastmilk supply issues. I only made it to about 7 months before I threw in the towel and started supplementing. Back in 2017, there was very limited information about breastfeeding, and I did not have much support around at the time.
Fast forward 4 years later, I had my second girl, Meadow. She was as beautiful as could be and I was determined to try my hardest to breastfeed her for as long as possible. This is when I discovered the beauty of treating yourself and relaxation. I started making lactation cookies at home as a way to find myself and also indulge in something that made me feel good. In return, I noticed that those great feelings led to great milk supply. I went from feeding just my beautiful Meadow, to feeding thousands of babies across the nation, through milk donation.
I am now a mother to 3 beautiful girls and have donated over 25,000 oz of breastmilk, both locally and through a milk bank.
As I embark on my second year breastfeeding my 3rd adorable daughter, Kora, I reflect back on all of the things that I have learned, and how passionate I really am about the breastfeeding community. I have committed the last 5 years educating new moms, friends, neighbors, strangers that I have the honor of being around, about the benefits of breastfeeding. I have been by their side helping their newborn baby latch for the first time. Been there to help size flanges appropriately when they had pain. Been there with food when they were too tired to cook. To hold their precious baby while they pumped. And now, I want to be there for you.
The Nip Chips was truly created out of love and passion for a community that I have been caring for over the last 5 years. So, whether you’re a new mom cluster feeding, pumping on-the-go, or just need a feel-good snack, The Nip Chips was made for you.
